Elder Young returns home this Wednesday!!!!

It has been neat to see the rest of my group meet here in Teresina to have a testimony meeting and a couple trainings. It´s just like Alma 17:1-2.  Yesterday I got to visit Elder Engle´s old area with him and visit some of his recent converts.  I learned so much from President just in a 30 minute interview.  The fruits of the mission are uncountable.  I´m excited to see you all.  Until Wednesday!

Families are Forever!

Dear family,

I don´t have many words to say - just a desire to give my all until the very last minute and finish with my whole heart.  What an amazing two years.  I am excited to see everyone soon!  And also wanting so much to have such amazing daily spiritual experiences for the rest of my life.  It is much harder to leave the mission than to leave for a mission.

I´m here in Santa Inez with Elder Engle and the rest of his district - our goal is to strengthen as much as possible the new group here before Elder Engle leaves.  They have 4 new families that will be baptized soon!

This week Valter and Patrícia were baptized! and married.  There also aren´t words to describe how happy I felt to see Patrícia in tears after lifting her up out of the water.

I know that families are forever.  I know we are each here for a purpose.  That purpose can be understood through prayer and daily feasting on the scriptures.  I know that Jesus Christ will lead us to eternal life if we follow Him.  The plan is so simple.  And the journey can be so joyful if we strive to keep the commandments because we love God.

Love you all; until the 5th!

I love every minute of the time I have here!!

Alo familia!

Hope all´s well in Arkansas.  That´s fun & funny you went to Branson again.  Life is good in São Luis - every day flies by faster and faster.  There are so many people here so ready to hear the Gospel.  I love every minute of the time I have here.

Tomorrow is Valter and Patricia´s marriage!  Thank you for so many prayers to help them.  I´m excited for them.  Their story will always be a part of my life.  What a neat family.  Saturday will be their baptism.  I´m also excited for Pedro, Viunicius, and Deborah.  Please pray for them as well to be ready by the 1st for their baptism.  There is no work more rewarding than missionary work.  So many miracles and memories made every day.  I am learning so much from every missionary with which I serve.

As there is a chance I´ll be on the bus next pday, heading one last time to Santa Inez with Elder Engle,  I´ll end with my testimony:

I know that Jesus Christ lives.  He is our Savior.  He is called "Savior" because He really saves.  He loves us so perfectly.  I have felt His love more deeply here on the mission than I could ever have imagined, as Dad promissed me in my blessing before I left.  What a neat experience it will be to have a blessing from Him when I get home.  I know Jesus Christ restored His authority and through that authority, we have the ability to return back to our Heavenly Home.  The temple is God´s house - every thing in the Gospel leads to having a happy family in the home.  God´s plan is perfect.  Jesus Christ is the Way.  The only Way to true happiness and eternal joy.  How I love Him.

Love you all!

Preparing for Zone Conference

Buenas tardes!  Good luck Ben at football today, and in your scrimmage tonight.  Tell everyone there oi for me.  I remember summer football practices - remember that at the beginning it´s tough but you´ll love it in the end if you don´t already.  That actually reminds me of a quote I heard this week that will be stuck forever em meu me()te.

Everything goes right in the end. If it´s not going right, it´s not the end!

This week we had a really good zone conference - it was about the power of the Book of Mormon in our lives and the importance of the Doctrine of Christ.  It makes a big difference when we go back to the basics.

All is going well - we started teaching  three new families this week!  I am excited to help them as well marry ad the get baptized.  Valter ad Patricia have may friends that are starting now to hear about the Gospel.

Scripture of the week:

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romas 8

We are preparig aother zone conference for tomorrow - President Melo is a very inspired man.  I have learned so much already from him.

Love you all!
