Alma 39:15-16

Good to hear you all had a good week.  I bet that was a big climate change for Dad going from the snow blizzard to Florida!  Is it still snowing?  That's awesome Ben is now doing shot put.  What events are you doing Blake?  Now you'll have some competition.

This week I went on an exchange with Elder Salinoa, who is from Hawaii!  It was fun.  He's from the North Shore of Ohau & worked at the Polynesian cultural center.  We figured we have probably met before.  I asked him what his favorite ice cream was.  He said it was definitely pineapple from the Dole Plantation.

It's been awesome having Elder Phipps as a companion.  We are hoping to either stay another transfer together or go to Brazil & serve in the same area.  Transfers aren't until April fools day though, so we'll make the most of the next couple weeks.  I can see one of the assistants giving us false transfer doctrine with it being announced on the 1st. :)

This next Saturday Freddie will be baptized!  Please pray for her.  She is recovering from surgery.

This week's quote is one from Elder Young the elder:

Let me mention few gifts that are not always evident or noteworthy but that are very important. Among these may be your gifts—gifts not so evident but nevertheless real and valuable.
Let us review some of these less-conspicuous gifts: the gift of asking; the gift of listening; the gift of hearing and using still, small voice; the gift of being able to weep; the gift of avoiding contention; the gift of being agreeable; the gift of avoiding vain repetition; the gift of seeking that which is righteous; the gift of not passing judgment; the gift of looking to God for guidance; the gift of being disciple; the gift of caring for others; the gift of being able to ponder; the gift of offering prayer; the gift of bearing mighty testimony; and the gift of receiving the Holy Ghost.
We must remember that to every man is given gift by the Spirit of God. It is our right and responsibility to accept our gifts and to share them. God’s gifts and powers are available to all of us.
Neal A. Maxwell
Tinha uma semana boa!
