Hope all´s well in Arkansas. That´s fun & funny you went to Branson again. Life is good in São Luis - every day flies by faster and faster. There are so many people here so ready to hear the Gospel. I love every minute of the time I have here.
Tomorrow is Valter and Patricia´s marriage! Thank you for so many prayers to help them. I´m excited for them. Their story will always be a part of my life. What a neat family. Saturday will be their baptism. I´m also excited for Pedro, Viunicius, and Deborah. Please pray for them as well to be ready by the 1st for their baptism. There is no work more rewarding than missionary work. So many miracles and memories made every day. I am learning so much from every missionary with which I serve.
As there is a chance I´ll be on the bus next pday, heading one last time to Santa Inez with Elder Engle, I´ll end with my testimony:
I know that Jesus Christ lives. He is our Savior. He is called "Savior" because He really saves. He loves us so perfectly. I have felt His love more deeply here on the mission than I could ever have imagined, as Dad promissed me in my blessing before I left. What a neat experience it will be to have a blessing from Him when I get home. I know Jesus Christ restored His authority and through that authority, we have the ability to return back to our Heavenly Home. The temple is God´s house - every thing in the Gospel leads to having a happy family in the home. God´s plan is perfect. Jesus Christ is the Way. The only Way to true happiness and eternal joy. How I love Him.
Buenas tardes! Good luck Ben at football today, and in your scrimmage tonight. Tell everyone there oi for me. I remember summer football practices - remember that at the beginning it´s tough but you´ll love it in the end if you don´t already. That actually reminds me of a quote I heard this week that will be stuck forever em meu me()te.
Everything goes right in the end. If it´s not going right, it´s not the end!
This week we had a really good zone conference - it was about the power of the Book of Mormon in our lives and the importance of the Doctrine of Christ. It makes a big difference when we go back to the basics.
All is going well - we started teaching three new families this week! I am excited to help them as well marry ad the get baptized. Valter ad Patricia have may friends that are starting now to hear about the Gospel.
Scripture of the week:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romas 8
We are preparig aother zone conference for tomorrow - President Melo is a very inspired man. I have learned so much already from him.
I loved getting the pictures. That made me happy to hear the Hassells came down to visit with the Dobsons. Also sounds like fun in Branson for the 4th! We ate a big cake here to celebrate. I am still amazed how much everyone has changed in 2 years. Bryce sent me a photo of the day he left for his mission; that´s the image that I have in my head of how everyone appears!
Parabens Daddio on the presentation to the vice president of sales. Giving trainings, etc. on the mission probably prepared you well for that. I´m now starting to understand how Elder Holland can say there isn´t one day in his life he hasn´t thought about his mission.
This week. Wow . Every day´s so packed with spiritally experiences, we end each day in awe. Even today while we were sending emails here in the church, a recent convert, Grijalvo, came in and asked for a priesthood blessing. We showed him a couple mormon messages and gave him a blessing. His mouth had been hurting from a recent surgery. After the blessing the pain was completely gone. God truly is our Father and understands the circumstances of each of His children. His love is infinite and beyond our comprehension.
This week we went to the courthouse with Valter and Patricia! They will be married on the 21st and their baptism the 25th. Also Viunicius, Susie, and Deborah - please pray for them that they will be prepared to be baptized by that date.
Today we have been preparing for zone conference tomorrow which is why I´m emailing a bit later (and again without time to send pictures of Antonio & Lorena´s baptisms). But all is well in Siao. (Luis) I´m excited to have President Melo here to help the zone. We went to Teresina this week and had a meeting with him - he is an incredible man & I have a lot yet to learn from him.
